"The Doors" wurde im Jahre 1965 in Los Angeles von Keyboarder Ray Manzarek, Sänger Jim Morrison, Drummer John Densmore und Gitarrist Robby Krieger gegründet. Die noch überlebenden Mitglieder werden sich auf den CDs zu Wort melden.
Den Hörer erwartet eine wilde Doors-Nacht. Bei Jim Morrison wusste man nie, was als nächstes auf der Bühne passieren würde. In dieser Nacht stand er völlig neben der Spur, ähnlich wie Kurtz in 'Apocalypse Now' oder Dean Moriarty in 'On The Road'.
